Richard Hamilton erupted early, pushing Detroit to a 13-point haftime advantage before coasting to a 122-93 Game 5 road victory over Milwaukee on Wednesday. Hamilton scored 24 of his 40 points in the first half, and finished with a 15-of-23 performance from the floor. The Pistons followed their first half explosion by outscoring the Bucks 35-17 in the third period. Rasheed Wallace contributed 22 points and seven rebounds, and Chauncey Billups added 17 points and eight assists for Detroit, which shot 59 percent from downtown. Michael Redd capped off an impressive first round for Milwaukee by scoring 23 and grabbing nine boards. Dan Gadzuric chipped in 13 points for the Bucks, who were elminated from the playoffs. Detroit, which advances to the second round for the fifth straight season, faces the winner of the Wizards-Cavaliers series.
