Team Fit

The Denver Nuggets are excited to offer Team Fit for the 2011-12 season. The program focuses on teaching kids about nutrition and fitness fundamentals. The program is available for classroom grades 3-8 throughout Metro Denver.

Classes that sign-up for Team Fit will be asked to make a "Team Fit pledge" for the school year. Following your pledge throughout the school year will make your students eligible to win Nuggets prizes! You can find where to make your pledge on the registration page. Further details on how to win prizes will follow once you have signed-up.

Just by signing-up for Team Fit, you will receive special health and wellness posters for your students that include fitness tips from Nuggets and Avalanche Strength & Conditioning coaches!

Classrooms that sign-up will also be eligible to win an appearance by the Nuggets strength and conditioning coach that may include any of the following:

• Nuggets team member.
• Fitness-based gift for each participant.
• Game tickets and/or team merchandise.

The appearances will be held at various locations. Each appearance is one (1) hour and start times must fall between 1:30-2:30pm or 2pm and 3pm depending on the type of appearance. Appearances will be offered on an availability basis, from October 2011 through March 2012. (There will be no appearances from December 20th-Jan. 7th, due to the Holiday season).

Kids, participate with Team Fit on your own:

• Team Fit Fitness Log Challenge -- Complete the Team Fit Fitness Log Challenge for a chance to win prizes or game tickets.
• Team Fit Worksheet -- Team Fit nutritional information and puzzles on healthy eating.
