After an amazing tour inside the Oracle Arena, we were all seated and felt very excited to do what we came all the way to the USA for – to watch an NBA game live! We were star-struck after we saw some of our favorite players walking and practicing right in front of us! It was an unbelievable experience because not every person has the opportunity to watch an NBA game live like we did. I quickly realized how lucky I was and how honored we all were to be selected to the Jr. NBA Philippine Team and to watch the NBA.

Watching the Warriors team warm up was pretty good because I saw the intensity and the will to win from each player as this was a must-win for them. If they lost, they would likely not make it to the Playoffs. So we cheered for the Warriors as the intro music played. There were thousands of other fans watching and cheering the team on along with us.

Game time at last! We cheered even louder for the Warrior 5! The Warriors dominated the 1st Quarter because the game was fast-paced (just the way the Warriors like it), the scoring high, and Golden State had a very good field goal percentage as a team, especially Al Harrington, Stephen Jackson, and Baron Davis. Monta Ellis was nearly unstoppable! The first quarter score was 42-26. However, in the 2nd quarter, the LA Clippers were able to knock down baskets and stop the offense of the Warriors, which resulted in the lead getting cut to 5 points at the half.

During the halftime break we walked around the Oracle Arena concourse, all along being followed by the NBA TV camera crew, who were covering our NBA Experience. People kept on looking at us, trying to figure out who we were, but it was cool.

In the 3rd Quarter, the Warrior lead ballooned again to as much as 17 points, a lead they kept until the quarter ended. In the 4th the Warriors seemed to take the game lightly and again the LA Clippers brought the lead down to just 1 point! We were all very nervous because we thought the Warriors would lose, but then Pietrus made a big 3-pointer that changed the momentum of the game. It was unbelievable! The Warriors then finished off the Clippers by the score of 122-116.

After the game we went down to the Golden State Warriors lounge area to have the chance to talk to, get autographs from, and take pictures of, Andris Biedrins and Mickael Pietrus. Too bad we did not get a chance to meet my favorite players Baron Davis and Monta Ellis, but still we enjoyed the evening because of Ellis’ outstanding highlights, like connecting for three alley-oop dunks.

After the game, our whole group ate had a late dinner at our favorite restaurant.

We all have our own amazing stories to tell about our entire NBA experience! This is something every basketball player should experience! Like my teammate and fellow blogger Raphael says, we all had a hoot!
